INTRODUCING THE SCRIPT BATH COLLECTION BY KALLISTA – SUITE SOPHISTICATION FROM FORM TO FINISH
KOHLER, Wis. (January 10, 2017) – KALLISTA, a leading designer and provider of kitchen and bath luxury products, unveiled Script collection at the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show 2017. The latest collection from KALLISTA articulates its sense of style and fashion, to live artfully – the foundation upon which KALLISTA has built its brand. Traditional in character, modern by design, Script delivers a chic bathroom suite with myriad components to transform any space into a respite of sophistication and impeccable taste.
Inspired by the heralded Gilded Age of 19th century America, the collection embraces the aesthetic of this earlier time. A complete suite of discriminating design, Script brings to KALLISTA a transitional statement of thoughtful pieces that work together, yet have the stand-alone ability and classic presence to dress an existing space with easy adaptability.
The striking, complete bathroom collection includes: a console table with new custom leg options, sink and deck mount low spout and arch spout faucets, crystal and enamel decorative lever and cross handles, floor-mount bath fillers, wall-mount bath spout, showerhead, showering controls and components, range of accessories, and a new KALLISTA living finish, Blush Bronze.
Script Faucets and Blush Bronze Finish
Two central components to Script are a new KALLISTA faucet design and elegant Blush Bronze finish, which is exclusive to the collection. The Script faucet is offered in two styles – a low spout, a perfectly scaled design that features a slightly curved neck, and an arch spout, which true to its name, is a graceful, sweeping gooseneck. These timeless silhouettes have a soft flaring spout for a lush release of water, with stylized sides that soften as they taper along the faucet neck before terminating to the slightly stepped and inverted base. The new KALLISTA Blush Bronze finish is a warm golden hue that resonates with burnished undertones, its satin finish imparting a soft glow and silky hand. The faucet is also offered in KALLISTA Nickel Silver and Chrome living finishes.
Script Decorative Crystal Knobs by Saint-Louis
A collaboration with Cristallerie Royale de Saint-Louis (Saint-Louis) of France brings to Script a series of one-of-a-kind decorative crystal knobs, each handcrafted by its gifted artisans. Renowned for its crystal works since the early 19th century, Saint-Louis continues to create its rarified crystal works using the same Old World techniques of blown crystal and exquisite hand etching. Each an individual work of art, the two-dimensional color is emphasized through the hand-cutting process, the exposed layers culminating in a faceted effect like that of a fine cut jewel. The Saint-Louis crystal designs are offered in the colors of sparkling Clear, dusky Flannel Grey and Dark Blue.
Script Decorative Enamel Works Lever and Cross Handles
In addition to the Saint-Louis cut crystal knobs are enameled decorative lever and cross handles in the shades of white Frost Wave, smoky Flannel Grey Wave, iridescent Celeste Blue Wave, and multi-colored Spring Rain. Reminiscent of the finely detailed enamel and cloisonné jewelry made popular in the 19th century Victorian era, the same techniques are used to design these artful handles. The mold design is hand-painted and fired four times to seal the colors and impart its glossy finish. The Frost Wave, Flannel Grey Wave, and Celeste Blue versions are decorated by a fluid series of lines that follow the handle’s form and a shimmering, shifting coloration that reflects light as it travels across the surface. Spring Rain is an intricate botanical and hummingbird design in a breathtaking color palette that naturally engages the eye. The silky soft finish of the handle adds to the overall sensual experience presented by these beautiful works of art.
Script Console Table
The perfect pair for the decorative faucet and handle designs is a sleek console table with a scalloped marble top of creamy, grey veined Berring White marble. The top is supported by sleek slightly tapered legs, its smooth length interrupted by a single bead detail before terminating to the ribbed feet. The leg design is part of a new KALLISTA custom leg program allowing for customer’s to purchase the legs separately to accommodate any custom size console and the option to select dual KALLISTA living finishes for a personal design statement. The program is currently available to Script, Per Se and For Town by Michael S Smith collections.
Script Showering and Accessories
Rounding out the collection are a full range selection of showering components, including the Script floor-mount bath filler, wall-mount bath spout, showerhead, and showering controls and components available in Frost Wave, Flannel Grey Wave and Celeste Blue with corresponding Blush Bronze, Nickel Silver and Chrome KALLISTA living finishes. An 18-inch and 24-inch towel bar, towel ring, hook and toilet paper holder complete the Script designs.
A CONTEMPORARY MANUFACTURE
Unrivalled, dense, clear, sonorous and luminous, born of a ball of fire and the breath of man, Saint-Louis crystal vibrates with the immense talent inherited from history and the extraordinary creative fantasy inspired by current trends. Every day, Saint-Louis signs crystal creations – tableware, vases, chandeliers and candelabras – crafted by master glassblowers and cutters considered to be among the very best in France (« Meilleurs Ouvriers de France »). All possess irreplaceable knowledge and ancestral skills that have been enriched from generation to generation: crystal is mouth-blown, hand-made, hand-engraved and hand-decorated using 24-carat gold or platinum.
Established in 1586, the Münzthal glassworks were designated the Royal Glassworks by letters patent from King Louis XV in 1767, and became known as Saint-Louis. In 1781, experts at Saint-Louis discovered the secret formula of crystal, a great first for continental Europe.
Over the centuries, the Manufacture has forged emblems from its creations for the world’s most illustrious courts. It is thanks to its hereditary ability to adapt and constantly innovate that Saint-Louis has skillfully sidestepped any risk of being engulfed by fashion or trends. For existing within one’s time also means escaping the ephemeral.
In 1995, Saint-Louis became part of the Hermès Group, the renown of this prestigious house has enhanced by a new creative impetus.
