April 2012

KOHLER, Wis. (April 24, 2012) – In keeping with its focus on bringing design excellence to the entire bathroom, Kallista, a leading provider of decorative plumbing products, introduced a new Maplewood Toilet Seat at the 2012 Kitchen and Bath Industry Show in Chicago. This seat brings the warmth and elegance of real wood to the bath and adds a refinement and sense of understated luxury to the space.

The 100 percent maplewood materials – prized by American furniture makers since the colonial days for its beauty and resilience – give the seat a lustrous wood grain, and makes it extremely strong and abrasion resistant. The seat's elongated form offers ergonomically contoured comfort and matches any industry standard elongated toilet bowl.

A finger grip detail is conveniently built into the perimeter of the lid, and the slow-close hinge technology prevents the lid from slamming while offering improved hygiene and safety. Hinges are coated with a hard-wearing PVD finish to withstand the challenging bathroom environment and are constructed of brass, ensuring long-term durability. The hinges are available in all Kallista living finishes to complement surrounding Kallista designs.

The Maplewood Toilet Seat is available in three semi-gloss finishes: Brunette, Ebonized Mahogany, and Java. Top-quality coating ensures that the natural beauty of the wood will shine through for years to come.

Kallista is known for its designs of decorative plumbing products, offering faucets and fixtures thoughtfully created for tasteful, whole-bath solutions. Kallista is available in fine showrooms in major cities throughout the world. Kallista is part of the Kohler Interiors Group family of brands, which includes Ann Sacks Tile and Stone, Inc., Baker Knapp & Tubbs, Inc., Baker Knapp & Tubbs Showrooms and Baker Stores, McGuire Furniture Company, and Mark David hospitality designs.
