KALLISTA® UPGRADES FOUR SHOWERHEADS
KOHLER, Wis. (April 24, 2012) – In keeping with its focus on making products that are water-saving without forfeiting functionality or design, Kallista has modified four of its most popular showerhead models to comply with stringent CALGreen water conservation standards. These showerheads use a proprietary air-induced technology to offer a 2.0 gallons-per-minute flow rate that can save up to 20 percent on water consumption when compared to standard 2.5 gpm models.
The four models which were upgraded – Bellis™, Counterpoint™, Tuxedo® and Inigo® – use Kallista's Katalyst™ air-induced technology to get the most out of every drop of water, infusing air into the water stream in order to provide a fuller, more powerful spray. An easy-to-clean optimized sprayface delivers focused coverage of those drops and resists hard water build-up. In addition to the water-saving upgrades, the Tuxedo model was redesigned with brass components to bring it in line with other Kallista sprayfaces and increase its durability and reliability.
The newly redesigned showerheads are available in a variety of Kallista living finishes to suit the overall room design. All four showerheads come in Polished Chrome, Nickel Silver, and Brushed Nickel, and the Inigo is also available in Weathered Bronze.
CALGreen is the first green building code to be formally adopted by a state and was developed as a way to mainstream green building design and reduce the carbon footprint buildings have on the environment. In addition to meeting CALGreen standards, these upgraded Kallista showerheads are also WaterSense listed, meeting the flow, force and coverage requirements established by the Environmental Protection Agency.
