KALLISTA PRESENTS JETON, NEW COMPONENTS TO ITS MOST SUCCESSFUL COLLECTIONS

Continuing to build out its diverse product selection, Kallista, a leading provider of luxury plumbing products, introduced the Jeton collection by Bill Sofield at Kitchen/Bath Industry Show 2009, and now follows up with new designs to support some of its most successful collections.  Available to the public for the first time are additions to the Michael S Smith Inigo collection, Perfect Tub series, and Quincy series.  Also, Kallista has reintroduced its Michael S Smith For Loft apron-front sink returning to the collection one of its most compelling and popular kitchen designs.

Kallista’s sophisticated lines for the kitchen and bath represent 30 years of innovative design.  Meticulously crafted from the finest materials and incorporating the very latest in engineering technology, Kallista provides a virtually limitless fashionable repertoire for the luxury marketplace.

Jeton™ Collection
Unveiled in spring 2009, the Jeton Collection designed by internationally renowned architect and designer, Bill Sofield, is his first commercial plumbing endeavor.  The collection includes a vanity with choice of two marble tops, wall- and deck-mounted basin sets and bath sets, thermostatic and pressure balance showering systems, wall- and deck-mounted handshowers, showerhead, undercounter basin, sconce, towel bar, towel ring, hook and toilet paper holder.

Sofield approached his plumbing designs as he approaches any project – incorporating aesthetic appeal with straightforward practicality.  Using subtle juxtaposition by mixing simple form with complex detail, the collection resonates with underlying warmth and familiarity. Influenced by the classicism of early 20th century architecture, Eileen Gray and the haute couture of fashion icon Yves St. Laurent, Jeton reflects chic sensibility and sophisticated presence of line to complement traditional and contemporary interiors.

Inigo™
Following on the heels of his widely acclaimed earlier collections for Kallista, Michael S Smith introduced Inigo in 2008, its sensual curves and complex details inspired by the architectural aesthetic of Mediterranean design.  Smith worked closely with Kallista, taking Inigo from paper to reality in just under two years.  What resulted is an unexpected collection of intrinsic beauty and uncompromising quality.

Speaking to traditional or contemporary settings, the forms elevate even the most ordinary space to a luxurious escape.  Joining the collection is a stunning mirror, its three-piece form inspired by Moorish design.  The three crystal clear beveled glass mirrors are connected together by small brass-plated hinges.

For Loft Collection
Introduced in 2002, For Loft Collection by Michael S Smith offers stylish bath and kitchen fixtures.  Utilitarian in design with optimal functionality and an understated aesthetic, For Loft has an industrial sensibility that lends itself beautifully to contemporary interiors.

One of its most successful designs is the fireclay kitchen sink, which is being reintroduced into the line.  Offered with or without a drainboard, the sink features an apron front and extra-deep basin to accommodate large pots and pans.

Perfect Bathtub Series
The Perfect Bathtub series offers universal bath options to support its myriad traditional and contemporary collections.  Minimal with clean lines, the Perfect Bathtubs are offered in acrylic bath or airbath models that fuse precise engineering and innovative design with comfort and elegance.  Making its debut in 2008, the Perfect Bathtub series now features large and small rectangular designs, an oval design and a five-foot deep soak.  Unlike standard gelcoat tubs, the Perfect Bathtub’s acrylic construction allows for a smooth, uniform finish and incomparable water temperature retention.

Quincy
A new Quincy Pull-Down faucet incorporates the high standards of performance required by Kallista and offers patented Kohler technology inside.  Features include a braided hylon hose for smooth, tangle-free operation and a spray face nozzle that resists mineral build-up for effortless cleaning.  Kallista utilizes the finest valves in all its faucets to ensure years of maintenance-free use.  Featuring diamond-hard, ceramic discs instead of conventional seat washers assure that the installation will be leak-free even in the hardest water conditions.
