KOHLER, Wis. (October 24, 2012) – To capitalize on the highly successful collection by kitchen interior and product designer, Mick De Giulio, Kallista, a leading provider of luxury plumbing products, unveils the Bacifiore undercounter basin. This new 19” x 15” undercounter basin takes its design cues from the original 18” x 18” entertainment sink design. Composed of hardwearing 16-gauge fabricated stainless steel with an exclusive polished distressed finish, the new larger design combines the same lustrous, hand-hammered countenance as the entertainment model with the convenience of a larger undercounter design.

Handcrafted by De Giulio’s artisans, the bright, undulating surface of the sink mimics the look of gently flowing water and is complemented by a flower-shaped detail that is part of the slightly curved basin walls. The undercounter design is standard industry size for a bathroom basin and is heavy-duty and easy-to-clean. The Bacifiore sink adds an unusual artistic element to the bathroom that is also supremely user-friendly and durable.

De Giulio, who founded the Chicago-based de Giulio Kitchen Design in 1984, is renowned for his luxurious but practical designs and for melding traditional and contemporary styles in a fresh, seamless way. De Giulio got his start as a keen student working in his father’s family cupula shop as a teenager, and he brings his respect for fine craftsmanship to the kitchen with sophisticated but sensible products. His passion for combining sleek design with impeccable engineering is evident throughout his unique and exclusive collection for Kallista.
