KOHLER, Wis. (April 11, 2008) – An exciting new collection, Inigo, was introduced by Kallista, at the 2008 Kitchen/Bath Industry Show in Chicago. Designed by internationally renowned interior designer, Michael S Smith, Inigo brings to Kallista a collection inspired by the architectural aesthetic of Mediterranean design.

Smith worked closely with Kallista, taking the collection from paper to reality in just under two years. What resulted is an unexpected collection that speaks to traditional or contemporary settings, creating a luxurious escape in its very simplicity. Inigo is rich in layered, intricate detail and the intrinsic beauty so prevalent in Mediterranean design. Currently the Inigo collection offers a basin and bath set fitted with lever handles, wall-mount showerhead, 24-inch towel bar, towel ring, tissue holder, and robe hook all offered in Polished Chrome, Nickel Silver and Brushed Nickel. Additionally Inigo features a white carrara marble console table and finished-matched legs. At K/BIS, the designs were mixed with Smith's For Country toilet and For Loft freestanding tub to show its versatile nature and ability to move seamlessly from modern to traditional surroundings with an easy confidence.

"The collection is very different from Michael's earlier designs for Kallista," said John Hart, chief merchandising officer – ANN SACKS & Kallista. "He brought the creative eye of an interior designer and his passion for the simple, architectural beauty found in Mediterranean design. These subtle references can be found throughout the collection, from the turnings of the handles to the steps on the escutcheon."

The Inigo collection is the fourth collection Smith has designed exclusively for Kallista. For Town, a romantic take on 1920s traditional design, and For Loft, based upon the classic elegance of 1930s Park Avenue apartments were launched to wide acclaim in 2000. His traditional American designs in his For Country line focused on the pure beauty of fine craftsmanship followed in 2002.

Kallista is known for its design of luxury plumbing products, offering faucets and fixtures thoughtfully created for tasteful, whole-bath solutions. Kallista is available in fine showrooms in major cities throughout the world. Kallista is a part of the Kohler Interiors Group family of brands, that includes Ann Sacks Tile and Stone, Inc., Baker Knapp & Tubbs, Inc., Baker Knapp & Tubbs Showrooms and Baker Stores, and The McGuire Furniture Company.
