KALLISTA® UNVEILS GUNMETAL - A FASHIONABLE ALTERNATIVE TO STANDARD FINISH OPTIONS

KOHLER, Wis. (April 11, 2008) – Kallista, a leading provider of luxury plumbing products, unveiled Gunmetal, a contemporary new finish, at the 2008 Kitchen/Bath Industry Show in Chicago. Offered on the highly successful Kallista One™ collection of sophisticated bath products and accessories, the finish has a warmth and depth of color that complements the modern bath and showering systems found in One, but would be equally at home if chosen for more traditional settings.

Gunmetal is a living finish and does not use physical vapor deposition (PVD), powder coating or other chemicals to insulate it from the environment, allowing the finish to patina naturally with age. This traditional, hand-rubbed approach brings to the surface the metal's dark warmth.

"Gunmetal is unlike many of the darker finishes you find within the current marketplace," said John Hart, chief merchandising officer, ANN SACKS & Kallista. "It was developed specifically for the One collection complementing its modern, compelling design, but would also work well in a traditional setting, extolling a warmth that doesn't feel contrived and almost Old World in its presentation."

Recognizing the value of timeless design options, Gunmetal joins Nickel Silver, Brushed Nickel, and Polished Chrome. Kallista continues to explore new avenues in bath design to reach out to a larger audience with products that translate effectively into residential and commercial applications. The One collection offers wall- and deck-mounted basin and bath sets, single and multi-function hand showers, a wall-mounted showerhead, a 12-inch raindome, complementing showering trim fitted with cross or lever handles, and accessories.

"The functional performance of this line is second to none, incorporating Kohler's latest valve technology," concluded Hart. "Although minimal in design, the forms avoid being cold or clinical thanks to careful attention to proportion and scale."

Kallista is known for its design of luxury plumbing products, offering faucets and fixtures thoughtfully created for tasteful, whole-bath solutions. Kallista is available in fine showrooms in major cities throughout the world.
